Please note: our show garden blooms in different phases and is dependent on nature. However, with 700 varieties in our outdoor show garden, plus our indoor tulip show and indoor picking area, there are always tulips in bloom!
Tulips have something magical. We understand perfectly well that everyone wants to capture that magic in a photo. However, due to the growing tourism in the Flower Bulb region, the actual tulip fields were increasingly being accessed, resulting in many tulips being destroyed or picked.
That's why we founded Tulip Experience Amsterdam in 2019: a place where you can walk, photograph, and enjoy the tulips without damaging the production fields. In our tulip garden with over 700 tulip varieties, you'll find the perfect spot for that iconic tulip photo.
In our Tulip Museum, we take you on the journey the tulip has made around the world.
From its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. You'll learn all about the tulip and interactively explore the cycle of bulb cultivation using new machines and old objects (from before 1950).
Discover the rich history and the fascinating cultivation process of the tulip in our Tulip Museum. Walk around or let our audiotour guide you (available in 11 languages).
Pick your own tulips? With us, you can! In our indoor tulip picking area, you put together your own bunch of tulips. You'll take home a colorful souvenir (this is included in the ticket price!). Our picking area is covered, making it the perfect time to pick tulips—rain or shine.
The experience is part of your visit to Tulip Experience Amsterdam: first, learn how tulips grow and bloom in our Tulip Museum, stroll through our show garden with over 700 varieties, and finish by picking your own little bouquet in our indoor picking area. You'll go home with a colorful souvenir—and best of all: it's included in the ticket price!

We have a spacious parking lot with 150 spaces for cars and 7 spaces for coaches or camper vans. Parking is free and only permitted during your visit, with a maximum of 2 hours. No reservation required.
