Blooming Update: the tulips from our show garden have been topped and will be harvested this summer and processed at the bulb shed.
Note: Keep in mind that our show garden blooms in phases and depends on nature. However, with 700 varieties in our show garden, our indoor tulip show and indoor picking garden, there are always tulips blooming!
Tulip Experience Amsterdam was established in late 2019, partly in response to growing tourism in the Flower Bulb Region and increasing pressure on the bulb fields (the production fields).
The Tulip Experience informs visitors about the hard work performed by bulb growers, providing the opportunity to take amazing photos without damaging the precious production fields in the Flower Bulb Region.
Our museum takes you on a journey around the world.
From the tulip’s discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as a Dutch icon. You will learn everything about the tulip and can interactively explore the bulb cultivation cycle with the aid of new machines and historic objects (pre-1950).
You can also take an audio tour of our museum, which is available in 9 languages.
You can pick your own bunch of tulips at the indoor picking garden (included in the ticket price), so you can take home a colourful memento of your visit!

We have a spacious parking lot with 150 spaces for cars and 7 spaces for coaches or camper vans. Parking is free and only permitted during your visit. No reservation required.
