Tulip Experience Amsterdam is open every spring, in 2026 from 19 March to 10 May, daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. When our tulip garden is at its most beautiful, we stay open a little longer on selected days in April and May. In the ticket shop, you can recognise these days by a sun or photo icon.
The rest of the year we are an active bulb company and, for that reason, closed to the public.
A visit typically takes 60 – 90 minutes.
At Tulip Experience Amsterdam, we work closely with nature and are therefore dependent on the flowering cycle of our tulips. This makes it difficult to estimate the best time to visit us. We will keep you informed via our Instagram page via the highlight ‘Bloom update’ and the flowering update on this website. However, with 700 varieties in our tulip garden, all flowering in phases, our indoor tulip show, and indoor tulip picking area, there are always tulips in bloom.
Before 11:00 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m., it is a little quieter at Tulip Experience Amsterdam. For the best photos, the light is beautiful in the morning (between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m.) and at the end of the day (from 4:00 p.m.). For tips on taking the best tulip photos, please refer to our blog on this topic.
Most of our Experience takes place indoors. We also tell the story of the bulb grower, who goes out into the fields whatever the weather. Grab your umbrella and let's go!
Yes, pets are allowed (on a leash) at Tulip Experience Amsterdam. By this we mean small pets, such as a dog or cat.
Larger animals (such as horses) are only allowed outside opening hours, for example for a photo shoot. Please contact us at info@tulipexperienceamsterdam.com to discuss the possibilities.
No, the use of drones is not permitted at Tulip Experience Amsterdam, due to safety measures and the safety of our visitors.
Unlike the fields in the Flower Bulb Region, which are intended for production, you are allowed to enter our specially laid out bulb field (our tulip garden). Here you can take the most beautiful photos surrounded by 700 different varieties of tulip.
At Tulip Experience Amsterdam, we are committed to sustainability: for example, we do not use plastic and we ask all visitors to visit us by bicycle whenever possible. In addition, the flower bulb nursery grows tulip bulbs with the Planet Proof quality mark, which is also used in vegetable cultivation and has been approved by Greenpeace. This means that we minimise the use of crop protection products, thereby enabling sustainable bulb cultivation.
Our show garden is entirely organically grown.
The Bloemencorso Bollenstreek takes place on Saturday, April 18 2026. Tulip Experience Amsterdam is accessible that day, but check your route in advance if you plan to visit us that day. Read all about the Flower Parade and our best tips in this blog.
